I came here about 20 years ago. What I remember is that the pancake that I ordered was bigger than the plate! I am happy to inform that it hasn’t changed.
My husband and I shared the Sage Fried Chicken and Waffles. So so SO GOOD!
We couldn’t finish the waffles.
We had to wait for about an hour and 10 minutes. It was a Padres game day, a Sunday and peak brunch time. We just went for a walk because we know it was going to be very worth it!
Staff was very nice.
We ordered a few special drinks from the labor day weekend menu. Worth every penny.
If you haven't one to Hash House A Go Go, you're doing yourself a disservice. Portions are really for 2, unless you HUNGRY. Haven't had 1 dish there that I didn't love. The food there is phenomenal. The drinks are made very well made. Service is top-notch. The servers are really nice and have great recommendations. Place is a little small but, really it's more like cozy. If there is a wait, wait, there will be a wait. There are benches with umbrellas outside. So it's cool. It's really good eatery.
Can't wait to go back.
Wow!!!!! Ulisses was our waiter and he seemed so happy to be helping us! We started with the Bloody Mary flight but were unanimous that the regular one was our favorite. Our table ordered the chicken Benedict and it was ENORMOUS! They loved all the flavors and the more bites they took, the more different foods they discovered. The creamy sauce was delicious too! The stuffed bacon waffles and sage chicken was incredibly good and also HUGE! Portions are definitely sharing size unless you’ve not eaten for a week! Everyone working there seemed a happy to be there and friendly. What a cool experience! We will be telling others about this place, and wish there was one in our hometown!
Food and drinks were phenomenal!!!!! Reservations were honored in a timely manner. I was extremely eager to visit after being recommended by an acquaintance. My husband and I were extremely pleased. Even if you are not in the area, find your way here for the bacon, eggs, sage fried chicken, pancakes, biscuits, and homemade preserves. Amazing!
Super duper awesome food! Portions are humongous! Service was excellent here. Staff were patient, friendly, and courteous.
We ordered Andy’s East Coast Crab Cake Sandwich, Sage Fried Chicken Linguine, Tractor Driver Combo, Kids Scrambled Eggs with Fruits, and West Coast Fresh Lemonade. The crab cake was so delicious! The chili mayo tasted great, the vegetables were fresh, and the bun was amazing!! The Sage Fried Chicken was moist, fragrant, and cooked well. The Tractor Driver Flapjack was enormous! It was fluffy, soft, and so so good! As for the kids meal, the fruits were fresh and sweet, and the scrambled eggs were perfect. The lemonade tasted so fresh and yummy, and it had free refill!
This is a place for family breakfast. Large groups may find it hard to get seats. It is best to make reservations. But the wait is definitely worth it!!
