Okay everybody... If you have not been here yet you need to get down there! Kind of a seedy neighborhood, but the restaurant itself was beautiful. The decor and the layout, everything was stunning and the food was no exception!
We ordered two cocktails that were exceptional, the beet salad, little neck clams, striped sea bass and the skirt steak. Not to mention the very random cheesecake parfait.
Each dish was exceptional in its own way. Bursting with flavor, lots of color, and just the right combinations. They spaced out the servings one at a time so we really had the opportunity to enjoy every plate.
Can't say enough about the skirt steak ... Omg incredible. Also don't be scared to try the cheesecake parfait dessert. When they served it I was like what is this? Haha But every bite got better and better. I will definitely be back to this beautiful fusion experience!

Listen up. If you decide to skip this place, you’re CRAZY!! I visited San Diego for a few days, and this place was on my shortlist. We visited for happy hour one day (great cocktail prices and snacks, btw), and was single-handedly won over by the sea bass belly (with crispy green onions). We then booked a reservation for Saturday. I would recommend this place to anyone, and would gladly return!

Food: Stunning and delicious. Great Asian flavours and creative combinations that would keep me coming back for more. We had the poached shrimp, beef tartare, sea bass and wild mushroom congee. Beef tartare was top two I’ve ever had, and even converted my partner who historically doesn’t like tartare. The congee was amazingly flavourful, and a huge portion size. The poached shrimp and papaya noodles were fresh and crisp. The sea bass was lighter but still a large portion size, but the caramelized skin and accompanying sauce was perfectly paired and brought so much complexity to a traditionally simple meat.

Drinks: A wide selection of wines by the glass and delicious cocktails. I wouldn’t call their cocktail program award winning, but everything was well balanced and had creative elements. I enjoyed the 3 different drinks I sampled :)

Service/Atmosphere: Our server was knowledge, fun and helpful. She described the dishes well and how they’d pair with our beverages. Overall atmosphere is elegant and romantic, but also lively and energetic.

Everything was amazingly good here. I tried many dishes, and my favorites were the duck liver pate, the wild mushroom congee, the Vietnamese curry, the northern halibut, the skirt steak and the ginger cheesecake. They were all so flavorful and tasty

One of best dining experiences I’ve ever had!! Service and food were phenomenal. Halibut and diver scallops were our favorite. We even cancelled our other dinner reservation so that we can eat here again before we leave San Diego.

I was devouring every morsel off all the plates that I even drank up the sauce that came with the halibut. Bad idea. It had a bunch of red chilies in the sauce and it was super spicy and I was dying. Shoutout to the bus boy who ran to get me cream!

A delightful dining experience from start to finish. The flavors are bold, but not overpowering and presentation is on point. This is definitely a place to share, as the portions are huge! The poached shrimp with green papaya salad was our favorite dish of the night. If we lived in San Diego we would definitely go back again and again to try everything on the menu. Thank you Kingfisher for creating such a lovely ambiance, and for your focus on service and hospitality.
