Fun vibes and a really sweet staff. All the servers and staff seemed to be having as much fun as us and had recommendations without hesitation. The food was delicious! My favorite bite was the apple persimmon salad with the crunchy herb and pistachio topping! Drinks were just okay, but the presentation made them an enjoyable spectacle. Ice bowl with almond snack inside on top of a 🍹? Okay sure!
Both experiences I have had at Mabel’s were phenomenal! As a frequent diner of the Rose, their sister restaurant, I had high expectations - Mabel’s absolutely crushed all of them. The restaurant and bar itself is absolutely beautiful & the aesthetic really matches the scene Mabels is trying to set. Both times at Mabel’s, the service was 5/5, with our servers helping us to craft the dining experience we wanted, making thoughtful pairing recommendations & taking ample time to answer questions. The food (we got the oysters, the pear&persimmon, sweet potatoes, mushrooms, and swordfish schnitzel) were fresh, unique & delicious. The cocktail list is expansive & the beverages we had were perfectly balanced. We will absolutely be returning & I highly recommend checking this spot out!
Everything was delicious! The drinks are mostly gin based. I really enjoyed the gimlet. Fantastic ambiance and great service. 10/10!
I'm not sure if we ate on a bad day or what but these other reviews are nonsense. All the dishes we ordered ranged from good to boring. The only thing that tasted good was catch of the day but for $52 it better be. The yellowtail crudo was flavourless; it was meant to be in a dashi but was instead overpowered by sesame. The swordfish dip had the consistency of catfood but luckily tasted slightly better. The smoked mackerel came with bread so saturated with olive oil it might as well have been a sponge. I can understand why people might like these dishes, but for $75 a person I needed more. The inside was also WAY too loud we had to shout in order to hold a conversation.
Pros for this place are the cocktails. Everyone ordered was great, super tasty, and well balanced. If I choose to come back it would be only for that. Luckily however the waitstaff were very kind and helpful.
This was one of the best dinners we've had in a while. Delicious seafood focused tapas, refreshing cocktails, and that cheesecake you should not have shared. Highly recommend trying as many as you can and prioritizing things you have never tried before.
