Hole in a wall Vietnamese restaurant, famous for their Bun Bo Hue. They do not serve Pho. Recently, they renovated the seatings so the interior looks better. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve noticed they have been steadily increasing their price especially over the past couple of years.

The price of the Bun Bo Hue and other main dishes have gone up whopping 100%! Don’t call it an inflation, not many place double their price on most of their dishes. They stopped updating their menu prices because they change it frequently. Food is still good but with their penchant for increasing prices, I’ll probably go here less. Cash only, parking is scarce.

Authentic Vietnamese dishes. Local hole in the wall spot that all the Vietnamese knows about. So that's a sign it's good. Can't go wrong with any of the noodle dishes. Had number 11 which was My Quang and Vietnamese ice coffee. Very tasty and well prepped. The old man cleaning the table is super nice... As well as the other workers. The place is very small so they try to accommodate everyone and try not to have people wait to long, so don't feel they are rude if they try to move you around or seem like they rushing you. They just want to serve you good food. Bun bo hue is probably their #1 seller. There's no A/c so don't eat hot food items during the day. Overall, it's a great lunch spot. They take large orders to go as well as you see people carry out pots of broth for the noodles. If you'd had pho, these are other authentic types of brothy noodle soups.

Mom and Pa "hole in the wall". Nothing fancy. But the food is fantastic! Fresh, not over-salted and genuinely authentic. Don't you dare to ask for a fork!

Excellent Bun Bo Hue! The best I've found in San Diego and Orange counties. My wife and I now always get the large Bun Bo Hue, so she can have the leftovers again the next day for lunch. Update: Got two regular Bun Bo Hue. The quality, taste were excellent, and portion size was fair. Service is very fast, so this restaurant is a good choice if you have limited time for your meal. Please remember that they accept CASH ONLY. Prices have increased about 20%, but the quality and portions remain the same. Update: Got two large Bun Bo Hue bowls. They were excellent as usual. Prices increased a little more.

We were recommended the bun bo hue and the clams on vermicelli and both were as good as expected. Both were on the spicy end but if you love good Vietnamese food, that's not a bad thing. I especially loved the clams.
