Food was amazing. The Salmon was out of this world. The ambientance was very peaceful and the whole staff was friendly. They were also practicing current covid precautions.
I want to thank Katerina Britschgi at your Prado location for her outstanding customer service, today and in the past. She goes out of her way to make sure your customers’ experience at your fine restaurant is smooth and delightful - very professional, yet very friendly. Please let her know that from me.
Sincerely,
Judy Roth
Plenty of outdoor dining spaces. Great service. The menu is limited comparing to their usual menu. Still a great place to hang out on a summer day or evening.
We spent the day in Balboa Park and tried this place on a whim for lunch. It was a gorgeous day outside so we ate on the patio. The restaurant overlooks a valley that includes the Japanese Friendship Garden. It's a wonderful view. The inhouse made crackers are excellent and come with hummus. They also make their own flavored teas and lemonades, though we didn't try any. I ordered the Cobb Salad with shrimp. The ingredients were fresh and it was a generous portion of food. The herb ranch dressing was light and complimented the rest of the salad instead of overpowering as many dressings tend to do. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned. In a salad, I would have preferred the tails to have already been removed, but that is a minor quibble.
Beautiful setting, in the middle of historic Balboa Park. Facility is clean, extremely helpful staff. Service was good, as were the amenities. Easy access from all entries, due to central park location. Great place to rest and recharge when visiting Balboa Park. Easy to see why this is a popular tourist spot when visiting park. Will definitely be returning.
