Amazing! Especially for the price! Small inside, and not a lot of seats outside. Line can definitely be long if you're not early enough, but worth it! Definitely will be coming back!
Excellent tasting ramen. Worth the hour wait? For the taste alone I would say yes. For a more chill atmosphere I’d say this isn’t it. Sitting on the patio facing everyone waiting in line was kind of a strange feeling and the lack of Japanese beer or sake reminds you that you’re just there to enjoy your ramen but quickly. Will we be back? Maybe
My favorite ramen spot in the bay, and now it’s in San Diego! Quality is superb, super delicious. Outdoor seating is something else. Having such comfort food by a koi fish pond, it was fantastic. And servers are super attentive and friendly. Best ramen I’ve tried in SD as well! Will come back for sure!
Very nice addition to the San Diego ramen scene. A very popular chain with restaurants in the Bay Area and Los Angeles as well as Japan. The Red King was not too spicy. The Original King is creamy. The Black King was also good. The pork belly was delicious, probably the best around.
Service was good; the staff is friendly. Store is pretty clean. It's new though. Food is where they don't live up though. The kaarage was above average. Bigger pieces with juicy meat. But the ramen, their main dish is lackluster. None of the ramen tasted very good. There are other competition in town that is better. The noodle has a weird alkaline taste. All in all, quite average.
