Sweetfin

Good poke. Nice set of flavor options and a great location with good seating.

First off, the guy at the counter seemed irritated by our basic questions that we had about their non-traditional ingredients. That should be a given considering most people have never heard of bamboo or forbidden rice. Second, there wasn't even normal white rice on the menu. Their bamboo rice tasted like slightly uncooked white rice and was tough/chewy. Third, they have a wide variety of toppings, but it didn't make up for the flavorless fish and lackluster sauces.

Overall, this is not your traditional poke place. It has more of a healthy modern vibe to it with tons of interesting options. The concept is great, but the quality and the service could use some work.

Fresh and simple, the way I like it. The tea was nice too.

We have had many many poke bowls, but nothing compares to the one we had today at Sweetfin La Jolla.. Just as important though was the way we were treated. We were greeted by the manager Josh
With the kindest smile and until we walked out the door he continued to make sure our experience there was perfect! He succeeded . We highly recommend this place
