So happy to have a new shabu place so close! The meat is very good quality and the portions are good. For me the ponzu is over the top lemon flavored and not what I'm used to. I'm getting used to it but I wish they had another option with less lemon flavor. They could fit more seating in here for sure and get some more capacity. But I love having them here. Great addition to the local good scene!

This place is awesome! Our server, Rachael, was awesome. Her service was informed, personable, and unique in that it didnt seem forced or routine. She was extremely helpful and never left us hanging which was extremely helpful considering the dining experience was unique and unknown to our group. The food was absolutely delicious and you could tell everything was fresh. The quality was high and the portions were massive. The manager on duty was super friendly and gave us all kinds of tips and tricks to have a special experience. Thanks guys, we'll be back!

Tabu Shabu was one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Costa Mesa so I was THRILLED when I saw one being built walking distance from my house... And it did not disappoint! Food and service were both top notch - just can't get enough! It's the perfect spot for a cool experience and a heathy meal. Definitely a must go!

One of my new favorite places in San Diego. Busy during peak hours but so much fun and worth the wait. TIP, you can ask for a bowl and create a large soup out of your meat, veggies, rice and noodles which is super tasty. Also save some of your broth because for an extra $5 they will create a risotto for you to go which is a great meal the day after!

And Angela was our server and she was fantastic. She explained everything and did a great job.
