We stayed at the hotel next door, the lines were out door/street for a food truck. I had the all over fries not enough cheese to much Baja sauce and garlic but it was okay.
If you’re not already going to Two Paddles for all your seafood cravings, now you knowww!!! This eatery is THE BEST! Prices, portions, and people are all on point! The three P’s! Family owned business in the heart of Hillcrest. You can eat extremely healthy here (example: amazingly priced salads topped with beautiful fresh seafood portions like ahi, swordfish, cod, shrimp, lobster, etc.) ... or you can indulge a little (example: fish and chips with portions that would amaze you, the two paddles famous lobster burger, or any of their sandwiches, fried options, and more). Their clam chowder is really great / hearty, apps are always tasty, and the tuna melt is the perfect recipe! I just can’t say enough about this place. It’s the kind of restaurant you look forward to going to. Parking can be tricky, but that’s EVERY business in Hillcrest, and now with Curbside pick-up, things have become super streamlined. They’re still offering pick up and delivery so be sure to check out Two Paddles. PRO TIP - Updated hours I believe are: Tues-Saturday 11-7. I recently moved to the OC and every time I visit San Diego, Two Paddles is THE ONLY OPTION.
Checked out this place for the first time yesterday. Had their Wed happy hour which was dollar oysters and they were delicious. I also had the fried calamari and my friend had the clam chowder. Both delicious! Very good place, fast, friendly, and also dog friendly! I highly recommend this place. I’m only back in SD till the 1st but will definitely be going back before I leave!
Perfectly cooked fish, every time, with great options for sides.
My second visit here and was equally pleased with the food, service and atmosphere. I had the Wednesday happy hour specials of a dozen oysters on the half shell ($1 each) and buffalo wings (75 cents each). Received the oysters in about 10 minutes and wings 5 minutes after that. Everything was fresh and delicious. My hands were disgusting after eating the wings but they were so good. Delicious!
