The staff is all friendly. Good value for the price. It's one of the better new age poke spots.
If you like sea food, this is best place to go. I mixed avocado with my tuna bowl and it was not good. You can mix everything and if you like avocado order it on the side. Although it says small bowl but it is more than enough. It was huge.... Highly recommended to grab a lunch or dinner.
My first experience at Poki Poki, another make your own concept involving a “sushi bowl”. Selections of ahi, shrimp, octopus etc on a bowl of greens or rice. Good simple food without the complexity of making sushi, basically the ingredients without the work of making sushi. My only complaint is that the “mild sauce” was incredibly hot so I did not enjoy my food. No spice would have been the ticket. Who is the chef who tastes what they refer to as “mild”. Three stars for not training the staff better although they were very nice people. Also the restaurant was very cold both in atmosphere and temperature. The fish situation probably dictates the temperature of the store. A little over $20 is fair for two people. Once I figure it out I would go back again for a quick meal, across from the theater. I lived in Japan where little restaurants like this were so charming. Add a little charm and a better explanation of ingredients and this could be a winner. No negative reflection on the hard working employees. Will try it again.
No complaints. Good service. Food's just as good as any other Poki Poki (which is pretty good). Worth eating at if you're in the price range of $10-$15.
This is my local "go to" place for Poke bowls.
Their regular bowl costs around $10 and includes 3 scoops of sushi/fish. The regular bowl is a large size and my be too much food for some people. I wish they had a smaller size. I was told that they used to have one, but discontinued it.
Their toppings isn't as extensive as other poke bowl places, but they have enough to keep me satisfied.
Service is usually fast. There is rarely a line to get food.
Overall, this is a great place in the neighborhood to get a poke bowl. It is not my favorite, but it satisfies me when I need some poke.
