Quiet and lovely. You’ll spend a lot for food but come away happy.

I went here for a private work dinner; since it was my first (and only - so far ;) ) time there, I'm not actually sure if the menu I saw was the regular menu or a private one. Either way, the food was amazing! To start, I had the burrata (the yellow beets and cheese went very well together). Followed by the pappardelle with duck (sooo tasty). Finally, I finished with the seven layer ice cream cake (a refreshing end to the meal). I also had a taste here and there of other menu items, such as a the chocolate oblivion cake (a taste was perfect, but I think it would've been too rich for me to have the whole piece). And all the courses were paired with wine. The staff were very attentive throughout, refilling glasses of wine and water, and generally around to answer any questions. Overall, had an amazing experience here and I definitely want to come back soon.

We have recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to go check out Sociale a few days ago. The ambiance is very charming and romantic, and I love it that the restaurant doesn't face the street. The area is nice and quiet. I have tons of food allergies and it's very challenging for me to eat at an Italian restaurant, considering that I am allergic to dairy, gluten, garlic and onions. We told the waitress about my allergies once we sat down and she couldn't be any more accommodating. She spoke with the chef and he/she put a seafood pasta dish together without all the allergens and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! How can you make Italian food taste good without garlic I don't know lol. I hadn't had a pasta dish in years and it absolutely made my day. I can't tell how much I appreciate the kindness and the amazing service. We are definitely coming back. It's always great to find those neighborhood gems. :)

Stephanie, our hostess, greeted us with warmth and smile. Steve is one of the best servers we have had in the city to date! Always professional and courteous. Their Som, Josh, has a great taste for wine. Knowledgeable without pretense. Sebastian is a wonderful attendant to back these two. A real joy to sit outside when the weather is good. Highly recommended. This apple cider is a must. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Visited from Victoria, BC with our 18-month old recently, clearly not geared towards children but they were very accommodating and welcomed us nonetheless! The food was absolutely incredible, our best meal in SF and quite possibly a top 5 of anywhere we've ever eaten. Incredible and recommended!
