Don't eat out often but I was lucky to be invited to this restaurant. It's been a few years but I remember the food being really good.

Great fresh food. Unique dishes. Very reasonable. Nice atmosphere. You order at the counter, good is delivered to table.

We've only been living in SF for two months, but this is our favorite place. The food is flavorful and very reasonable priced (under $15 for a plate with a protein, a carb, and a green; though their menu changes a little bit). It has sort of a North African to Middle Eastern flavor, which in my experience has been fairly similar across their dishes. I'm not big on giving points for "vibe," but it's a charming place inside with large communal tables and the local news paper. It's not a gentrified neighborhood, but everyone I've interacted with had been respectful and helpful. The worst part is that we rarely get to go here due to their hours: mainly that is not open on the weekends.
