    Nice and cozy Japanese local style shop. Homemade Freshly made mochi. I had Kinako which is mochi with red-bean topped with soybean powder. It is super soft, yummy and not too sweet. Recommend!

    It's in Japan Town in San Francisco and is a very pleasant place. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I liked the Kinako and Age (donut filled with red bean paste). True and authentic Japanese desserts.

    A really great mom and pop store for traditional mochi, other Japanese snacks, and some American fare as well. This location only takes cash and closes early. They run out of the best ones (like strawberry and mango) so try to go earlier if possible. I've tried just about every kind and they're all amazing. If you've never had a bean dessert before, this is a great place to try!

    I’ve been going to Benkyodo for over 45 years. The BEST Manju’s in the US. Very comparable to Manju in Japan. This family-owned business is very high quality with great customer service.
