One of my favourite restaurants in San Francisco! The owner always greets every guest with a warm welcome. The food is beautifully presented and delicious! We had the trio of salmon, escargots, roared duck breast, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, basil Napoleon, and profiteroles...all were amazing! They also have a great wine list and friendly service.

It's a simple, not a fancy place. This is fine with me, but the quality of the service and the food was less than expected:
After ordering, we waited for more than 20 minutes for the appetizers. When you're hungry it's a lot of time and a lot of bread.
On Yelp a lot of people recommended trio of salmon and lamb chops. they ran out of salmon and had only one lamb left.
When appetizers finally arrived my French onion soup was boiling, and I mean literally boiling, and it kept boiling for the next 5 minutes, and I had to wait another 10 minutes before I could taste it.
When the only left lamb arrived , it was raw. Not rare, but raw. So I had to ask them to cook it little bit more. When it came back it was cooked. But now the potatoes was super hot as well as the plate, so it wasn't fun eating at all. I'm still not sure what kind of sauce the spinach was in.
    The desserts were pretty good.

The dish size is totally enough for your stomach, and the price, compared with the quality, is definitely fair. They offer courses, which have 3 or 4 courses for opinion, and also signal orders. I don’t want to repeat the food quality again since I recommend you just to make a reservation and get inside and order! Btw, the servers are very nice and friendly, they like to talk joke with you. Had a wonderful meal with my girlfriend. I took these pictures seriously ’cause the foods were really good!

This restaurant is fantastic, I had the opportunity to come with all my family to celebrate a birthday and they treated us super. the dishes are produced with fine ingredients, you have a flavor that takes you to the same sky. the attention of the waiters is excellent. cleanliness and impeccable service. It is a place with a pleasant atmosphere and very easy to find parking. If you are looking for a place to impress someone, this is the ideal restaurant.

Where do I start as there are so many superlatives I could use for this Richmond/Clement St iconic gem. I have been coming here for 20 yrs (even though I live in Australia) because of the food quality, the ambience and genuine kindness and enthusiasm displayed by Phillipe and Ellen. Each time I eat here we are treated to numerous complimentary dishes, all beautifully presented and offered with humility. I love the quality and value of the price fix menu (very good value for such a good restaurant in SF) but they go the extra yard to ensure we have a table appropriate for my father-in-law who is wheelchair-bound. Not only that they ensure we have parking right out front every time. How can you beat that? There is kindness and love in abundance both in the food and the attitude. If I could give 6 stars it wouldn't be an exaggeration. UNBEATABLE IN San Francisco. Have a great night out. (P.S. try the sweetbreads!).
