Had a great tofu super burrito!

The food is standard and the service is standard to friendly, I think San Franciscans can be a little put off if service people don't chew the food for them sometimes. These people have to deal with a lot of drunk late-nite idiots, I think they do a good job of it.

If you don't have Tripas or Lengua, you're already starting behind in my book...and they don't here. However, vegetarians will find some great options: tofu, nopales, mushrooms, eggs and veggie melange.
The biggest thing going for La Tortilla is it's open late. It's also fairly inexpensive...if you aren't used to good taco trucks.
My Chile Relleno was good - a traditional preparation, which I prefer. My partner's Carne Asada Burrito was solid.
However, the counters were sticky and it was freezing in here...not a pleasant eating environment.
I think the biggest demographic here is the post bar crowd staving off a hangover.

Great food. Tastes very authentic. I got a little confused with my order and they were pretty cool about it :-)
