I have been coming to this bar for more than 3 years but lately it has turned into a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde experience for me.
First off their beers are amazing that never changes even though beers themselves are seasonal and change throughout the year. Watermelon Wheat (available between March and October) and Blood Orange IPA are my favorites.
Onto the inconsistent stuff now: they have some of the most friendly bartenders and servers for the most part except for a couple of bartenders who may be among the least friendly ones I have seen.
And burgers - when they cook it right, they are so good. However, lately they must have forgotten the definition of “medium rare” as - not exaggerating - they are served “well done”. Which is pretty disappointing for a bar with great beers and good sports bar vibe upstairs.
Best fish and chips I ever had. Perfectly cooked, presentation attractive and just the right amount of food. Or was it the beer perfectly brewed and presented fantastically. Either way you can't go wrong. If you never been there try this for lunch and judge for yourself.
Born in 56' and grew up in San Francisco.
Try this place!!!
Great place to grab a beer with friends or alone. They have ample amount of seating and great beers ever changing. Definitely a place to spend a few hours. I tried there flight tasting if 6 beers which allows you to really get to understand there brewing processes. Highly recommended.
A watermelon slice on my watermelon sour?! Better than a cherry in top. A nice selection for the casual beer drinker but not the most interesting list. Great and classic beer drinking food. I sat at the bar which was a buy noise. They also have upstairs and outside seating options for whatever you're in the mood for.
Love this place! Great location easy access off 101. The Giants game had just ended so it was packed, but we got a table for 2 relatively soon. The hostess was great. The waiter was great. The bus service was very good. I got their sessions IPA which is my go-to beer. My son got the autumn release that was very very good. I ordered the fish and chips substituted for tater tots. The fish was good - the tater tots were great. My son ordered a pizza and it was very good. As before the only downfall is the noise level is very high. The area is relatively free of homeless except under the freeway . Will definitely be back whenever we're in the city
