So much fun! They always have the greatest piano players that get everyone involved. Be sure to get there early though because it fills up extremely fast
My wife and I discovered this place on our anniversary a couple years ago and have made it a regular "dinner before the show" spot ever since. The food has always been great, with some very Irish dishes on the menu - and some that are very local. The drink menu is long and varied with a broad range of good brews.
The real draw has always been the same excellent service. Every. Single. Time. Seriously, the wait staff has always been great. It's even been quick to get a table, even on a Friday night.
The only down side is that, as a pub, it can get pretty loud. It's close to Muni and BART so access is easy without a car, because driving there would be painful.
Overall, you can't go wrong - unless you really, really, want quiet. . .
Visiting SF and came here with a group after work hours. Didn't have a wait. Nice atmosphere. Also very clean inside. The cottage pie is good, but very hot for a while. Another in the group really enjoyed the fish and chips. They were perfectly golden and looked very delicious.
Really good, centrally located pub, with fast friendly service and surprisingly delicious pub food
The ribs appetizer was smoky and fell beautifully off the bone. The Irish soda bread was hearty and robust. And the surprise favorite was the very flavorful vegetable stew. All went down very well with a Black and Tan.
Outstanding restaurant with fantastic atmosphere and wonderful food and drink. Authentic Irish dishes combined with other Americana favorites. I usually order the fish and chips with a nice Guinness. If you're in the city around the holidays, you're going to want to stop here and take in the lively and fun scene with people telling stories and having a great time by the bar. Plenty of seating as well if you'd prefer to sit with your family.
