Great neighborhood poke. I eat here every week.
A solid four stars. I haven't tried everything on the menu yet, but the things I have are satisfying. The portions are also more generous than most of the other poke places I've tried. The facility is also quite clean.
I'm dinging it points for two reasons: first, it's a little wasteful in terms of practice. Filling up a plastic sauce cup only to dump it on top and throw it away makes my inner environmentalist sad. Second, the audio they play (note: audio, not music) is largely radio static. Bring ear plugs if you're dining in.
Still a net positive experience and I'll keep going.
Its a solid idea and fairly well executed but something is clearly wrong with this place. The employee turnover rate is astounding, you probably have a 50% chance of being served by someone on their first day.
Its hard to beat the convenience and its good ingredients but they've reduced portions and lost their friendlier employees consistently for months so each time I succumb to my laziness i feel worse and worse about giving AhiPoke's owners business
Food tasty. Staff not great at listening to the order, but the result was good anyway. Will be back.
Service was quick and they have a number of small tables inside. Prices are average for counter-service poke in the city (about $12 for a medium bowl), but you get less fish for your money here than at other places. They give you a lot of rice in the bottom of your bowl to make up for the skimpy portion of fish. Fish quality was good.
