Best Mexican brunch and burrito and taco spot ever! In Castro - on a sunny day sitting outside was so fun! Great drinks and the people are really nice!
I love the menu here, so I decided to give them a try while visiting the area. Focusing on just the tacos, they serve up Mexican street tacos and larger (6" shell) tacos. I went the larger route; they were a good potion, but could have used a 2nd shell so they didn't fall apart as easily. The rotisserie chicken had decent flavor, and peppers/onions had an excellent grill flavor. The mahi mahi filet was nothing special. I tried all three salsas, and they were all really good; the fish taco benefitted from them. I wouldn't deter anybody from diving into the menu here, but I had a 3.6/5 star experience from my small sample size.
The 1st time I tried Bonita was at Polk Street.
After I realized Castro has one, I was so happy because this is the best location for me.
I took Muni here.
& It's totally fine to dine alone here, you don't feel alone at all.
Free wifi.
Great Mexican music.
Awesome vibe.
Awesome service.
Tasty food you feel like dine in a good restaurant.
And the best part is-- street food price.
Love it .
Not break the bank.
The CP ratio is super high
& Can I mention free wifi again, the password is near the counter.
That I post my review & photos at the store.
The food was delicious, except the Mahi taco for me, I didn't like it too much, but the burrito and the beef bowl were amazing. Great service. Nice place.
Divine burrito. Bonita makes sure all of their items are very well seasoned, you can taste the beans, the rice, the meat, everything is put together in a delicious way, making every bite very flavorful. Not one of those dry burritos where the rice and beans are only cooked then have salt added. Great salsas too. Hands down the best mexican place around this castro area.
