Came for brunch menu posted on the San Francisco location website. Only to be told they don't serve brunch at this location not the end of the word, ordered 2 pizzas instead. Meh. Maybe we ordered wrong. Doppio Zero white and the fried house specialty (that was cold inside)... Left more than half of both in search of dessert down the street. Won't be back far too many other intriguing places to explore in the neighborhood.
Fresh baked bread was delicious and service was fine.
Good food. Service was good. Quick meals and very tasty!
This brand new restaurant doesn't accept reservation, so come early b/c at 6 pm the place was packed, mostly by the concerts' goers. The menu has lots of different dishes except pizza. It was the first time my husband and I tried fried pizza, looking like a calzogn. We did not like it but other dishes in our order were very good - a salad and pasta with wild boar meet. The service was fast and accommodating. We are going back to try other dishes.
Doppio thumbs up!
We ordered the Margherita and the Doppio Zero. The cheese on the Doppio was especially creamy and real fresh. Probably one of the better prosciutto arugula pizzas I've had in the city. The Margherita also tasted pretty exceptional. It was very thin, which some people may not enjoy, but felt authentic. The sauce was also very fresh.
Both pizzas came out within 10 minutes of ordering, even when they had a full house at dinner rush hour. Good selection of beers and wines to pair with your meal as well.
