Stepping in to this place I no longer felt like I was in the mission. Once I had the opportunity to try the drinks and food though I felt like I was definitely in the mission. The food had so many different flavors and were loved by all of us. The vegan options were plentiful and very filling. The drinks were hits, so lots of props to the mixologists there. They know their drinks and how to shake them up! If I could ask for anything is have a happy hour and maybe a few more bites of food to pair with the cocktails.

Great cocktails, small bites, and hospitality. A little oasis from the constant thrum of the Mission while honoring the charm and uniqueness of the neighborhood. Definitely worth a visit (especially if nearby ABV is too crowded).

Elda has top-notch cocktails and food, and I always want to go every time I pass by, but due to the loudness I can’t recommend it. Let me explain...

During prime time, it is so exceedingly loud that, if sitting close to the entrance (near the speakers) for too long you are likely damaging your hearing. Forget having a conversation across the table. You might be able to talk to the people directly left and right of you.

To paint a picture, I recorded 93 decibels (average for 60 seconds, using slow timing using C weighting). That’s +10db more, roughly twice as loud, than other restaurants near Valencia which often hit 80db.

    I have suggestions:
    – Evenly distribute and lower the volume. Supplement the two entrance speakers with an 8-channel set up. A lot of restaurants have this.

    - Add more plants, textiles or hidden sound absorption to compensate for the hard surfaces. This one is tougher because it requires some design, but would help.

The grilled corn and plantain chips are enough to get me to come back again! Fun joint with really good food and drink options. Chill enough to just come with a group of friends but nice enough to bring a date.

Loved this place! Great small bites and bomb cocktails. Packed by 8pm but easy to get a seat around 6:30pm. Service was great too. Wonderful addition to the neighbourhood.
