They are blocking the entire sidewalk with outdoor seating. It's rude and inaccessible. A terrible look.
Update: edited to five stars based on the response. Thanks for being good neighbors!
Eggplant parm sammie was really good. Sorry forgot to take a photo
Outstanding sandwiches. We had the meatball sandwich and Italian combo...cosi buono !!!
But beyond appetizers, everything was delicious! We ravaged the pasta menu, choosing all but the pork pasta (and that was only because my two friends are essentially pescatarians). The uni pasta with shaved tuna heart was creamy and flavorful. I'm still not sure I can tell you what tuna heart tastes like, but the overall dish was great (though maybe a lot to handle). The spaghetti with fish roe was INCREDIBLE. The sauce was lightly spicy, incredibly delicious, and very memorable. The spaghetti was also cooked perfectly. The lemon squid ink pasta was tasty as well. The lemon worked well with the squid ink, and the pasta, fregula, was like nothing I had seen before (it was cut so small that I initially thought it was a grain).
I give out quite a few five stars, but the Pasta Shop deserves all 5, if not more. We had the Italian, fried chicken, and Cali Club sandwiches and damn they were good, like SUPER good. In fact, I’d go back tomorrow too so I can try the meatball sandwich. Of course, what goes best with sandwiches… beer! The Temescal Pilsner was delicious. The atmosphere of the Pasta Shop is adorable and team working was delightful.
