Mamahuhu

It’s a modern decorated Chinese restaurant, the price is 10-15% more than the usual Chinese restaurant.
The sweet and sour chicken is good. But the rice is hard.

The service is very good but the food was average for me, not sure what people were raving about. The only thing I got that matched the reviews was the soft ice cream that was pretty good. The ambiance is great, location. I got the kung pao chicken, average taste, nothing spectacular, portion was small for family style. Sweet and sour chicken, noway maybe this is the first time people tried it not drenched in sauce. Taste was below average. Chow mein was ok. Would go back, only for the ice cream or if friends decide to have a bday party without choice. Oh, and the eggrolls, such a disappointment, I never want that again.
I feel bad to give a not so good review, but it is my experience, and it may differ with others.

I just ate here since it just opened recently and I immediately loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Somehow the food was even better. I had the sweet and sour chicken with rice and wok’s veggies and everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The chicken had the perfect crunch and the fruits and veggies really complemented it.

Now needed more Asian inspired food!!! So happy this place opened. Very casual vibes and very good food. We tried the sweet and sour chicken and omg it was crispy! So good!!! Can’t wait to try their other options.

Finally! I’ve been waiting for AGES for Mamahuhu to open up in Noe Valley- it’s just what we needed!!!!
In our foggy little city by the bay, there is nothing quite as satisfying as a warming, classic bowl of Mapo Tofu. I’m also convinced that all vegetables should be wok’d. There’s really no better alternative. I want my veggies al dente, no limp lettuce or soggy celery. And MAMAHUHU’S veggies? Mmmm, chef’s kiss!!!
The tea soda and the soft serve (vegan!) are not to be missed, but my personal favorite is the chow mein on the secret menu (but you didn’t hear it from me!)
