Miyako Old Fashion Ice Cream

A truly wonderful experience. This is a TEENY TINY shop and chock full of character. Tom, the gentleman who runs the place, is very friendly and serves not only delicious ice cream but the scoops are enormous. I can't believe how inexpensive it is, either. He could honestly charge twice as much and it would still be a deal (so give him a generous tip).
I was able to have some really unique flavors thanks to him serving Mitchell's.
Not only do I 100% recommend a visit... I'll be back with more friends.

This place is a gem! The owners are the most pleasant and adorable shopkeepers in the city. Lots of yummy Mitchell’s brand ice cream including my favorite, grasshopper pie. If you want to travel back in time to your childhood, they have the blue bubblegum ice cream! Rum raisin was also delicious.
If you like deli pickles, you need to try one. Huge, crunchy, and flavorful!

A very sweet man named Tom made me a delicious Cookies n Cream milkshake. This place is old school, they've got Bubble Gum Ice Cream!!! I haven't had that since I was 12. Theres also lots of candies from my youth as well, like Sour Punch Snakes, Nerds and various other Willy Wonka Candy. The prices are incredibly low so definitely tip the proprietor to keep him in business. It'd be a shame to see this place disappear and be replaced by another overpriced hipster restaurant.

The owners are very nice. The ice cream selection is phenomenal. The Japanese ube made from purple yams is unreal. Sweet potato pie but with yams. I had a banana split which was filled...good portions. There is a park next door. Grab an ice cream and enjoy the best ice cream...(Mitchell's home made).

Best ice cream in San Francisco. My kids and and I have been coming here for years. They also serve amazing sandwiches and jars of candy. Great prices too. Family owned and operated, I love the vibe here. A staple in our neighborhood. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!
