The Cumin Lamb Stir Fry was out of this world! The chive pancake with egg and dried shrimp were like fluffy, hot, crispy pillows of flavor…..can’t wait to come back.

The restaurant was not clean or well decorated and the service was typical of a Chinese restaurant. If you could get past all these, the food is really awesome. Some of my personal favorites were fried lamb skewers, hot and spicy beef tripes, boiled lamb pickled cabbage clay pot, Beijing beef pancake, lamb stir-fry and clear flat noodle and their Beijing style hotpot. Their dipping sauce was really good with the lamb slices and beef tripe. I would highly recommend anyone looking for authentic Beijing Chinese cuisine to give this place a try.

Went based on many reviews, nothing outstanding in my opinion that you couldn’t get elsewhere for cheaper or not as out of the way. Cumin lamb was a different take but unless you need to go here for halal reasons I would skip it.

Their food is gorgeous 😍 The pro of traditional Beijing hala cuisine, you will know how special they are when you have kind of experience living in Beijing for over 10 years! But if you're not I strongly recommend beginning with various pancakes and dumplings first then trying lamb and beef meat main courses, you may experience ignoring during busy hours when the owner's close friends are there(just the same as other traditional family ownership Italian restaurants if you have been to Milano or somewhere like that) but never worry about the taste, as I grow up in Beijing and love hala food I am so satisfied and soak up the atmosphere. (By the way, they have Eileen Gu's favorite pancake, hope you can find out.)
