    I was looking for a taste of my childhood and that is what I found here. I found exactly what I was looking for while I was there. And the gentleman that was there reminded me of home and family. I will definitely return again in the future.

    If you miss your grandma's Portuguese sweet bread, the kind where she'd pile up a pile of flour and break eggs in the middle of it, this is the place to get it. They ship. (Call on Monday when there's a UPS guy there.) They make Chouris (choo-REES)--which is different than linguica. They make hot linguica, also. This place was recommended to me from my cousin, Deacon David Rezendes from Livermore, because we both long to taste our grandmother's old-world Portuguese sweet bread once again. He said that this is the closest to it--and it's pretty darned good. Would have spent more time there if I hadn't been in a hurry. I will next time!
