Food and service were decent. Not overly impressed by anything I tried, but would gladly go back. A little cramped, but probably due to large party size and placement in the middle of the room.
Get the gnocchi as a group appetizer, and you won't regret how delish the little pillows of rich potato goodness are. Been coming here for years, and have yet to have a bad meal. Staff is super friendly and know the regular customers by name.
It was really good. All 4 people at the table loved thier food. Good wine and good service. I highly recommend the Black Truffle Mashed Potatoes.... they were fantastic.
Authentic rustic Northern Italian fare in an upscale setting. The unusual layout, a mix of public and private space, makes Stella Alpina well suited for when you want to see and be seen among the local well-to-do, close a business deal, or have a romantic dinner. However, it is not a good fit for children, keep the kids (under 15) at home - no matter how well behaved you may think they are.
Although the menu changes regularly, the veal and the shellfish dishes are always excellent. Also, if the fondue appetizer is available be sure to try it. Wine list is comprehensive and extensive. Staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and professional.
Went there two nights ago and I just want to leave a note for my future visits. This is a nice restaurant to go. Good and and friendly service. Food is above average. It has always been an enjoyable restaurant to visit with friends and family.
