HS Cafe

The single waiter welcomed my wife and me into the dining room and greeted us profusely, even though we were here for the first time. He was very responsive and prompt with service. The restaurant had a steady flow of customers, many of which were obviously regulars. The breakfast combinations were very affordable for a restaurant on Millbrae's main restaurant street. Portions were modest, but the quality of the food was good. I would come again.

So yeah, this isn't a destination joint, the kind of place that you send people to. What it *is* is a place where you'll get familiar versions of a whole bunch-a standards - hainan chicken-rice, mango gigi, gyoza, etc.
Mind you, that's not a bad thing - if you're getting your groceries in the 'hood, and feel like a coffee, or a dessert, this is exactly the kinda place that you'd go to. And I did ????

Oh, service is not the strong suit here - when you're ready to order, get someone's attention, and if you need something, you guessed it, get someone's attention...
