Really like the food here. Been here 2 times and it is always high quality and huge proportion. Especially like Mao’s pork belly here! One star deducted because of the line up system here. The paper was placed inside and you need to write down your name and party size. A lot of people just wait by the door so it was difficult to get in for the sign up.

If you are interested in regional Chinese food, this place should be very high on your list. I've never been disappointed here. The attention to detail and hand made quality are exquisite(check out the house smoked pork hanging in the glass walled kitchen). This is where I bring friends who like food, and need impressing. In addition to the exceptional dishes, the service is just to my tastes, and the ambiance is pleasant. The management clearly has an irreverent sense of humor, and the recent offer of discounts for federal employees during the shutdown has cemented my affection for wonderful.

There’s really nothing short about the food here. Pretty decent Hunan food. Service is among the best of Chinese restaurants. This is my new favorite in the Bay Area! I’d give 6 stars if I could.

More importantly, I’ll always remember it as a place owned by people with good heart to offer help to federal employees during the hard times of the shutdown.

When you come on weekend during dinner time be prepared to wait to be seated. The wait time could be up to an hour, BUT.....food is excellent. Definitely must try beef cilantro, chili chicken wing, eggplant and green beans.
