Hidden gem, think Japanese tapas restaurant. Fantastic service and excellent food. The chef personally served several dishes to us on the house. Incredibly well prepared sashimi and quality fish. Sad that they no longer offer the late night happy hours.
Great little neighborhood restaurant with delicious food, attentive service, and fun atmosphere. I've been to many izakaya restaurants in Japan, and this has a menu that has some authentic items and some that are more tailored to Californian tastes.
Small but varied menu with grilled items, yakitori, noodles, rice dishes, and sushi. I'm personally a fan of the hamachi carpaccio; it's beautifully plated and full of flavor. Reminds me of the "sushi carpaccio" at many "real" mid-range izakaya restaurants in Tokyo.
Momo is an unassuming restaurant nestled in the middle of a strip mall, but it's much better than many of the Asian restaurants in the area. Highly recommended, but don't tell all your friends – we want to keep this place to ourselves! Thanks Momo, for the excellent food and service!
Finally a restaurant worth frequenting in Pacifica! Good Izakaya (Japanese Tapas) and a great selection of freah Sashimi/sushi for a izakaya restaurant. Also a good selection of Sakes and Beers.
I've eaten here twice and both meals were very good. The first night I had the Hamachi Carpacio and I must say it was a perfect blend of tastes that really worked. I had two orders of sushi, the bluefin tuna and one of the belly cuts. This is not sushi as is usually presented in the U.S., but, instead presented as a finished dish in itself with the intended flavors already added and no need to add soy sauce or horseradish. Very good. The next time I had the tonaku (spelling?) ramen and oh my it was really awesome. Everything blended so well and it was extremely tasty. Definitely recommended.
