I head here after working late. Never disappoints.
The chefs have great craft, attention to detail and fresh fish. The omakasa is special. Their uni is fresh and they are generous with a heaping mound of it for the sashimi. Ask for the bluefin tuna collar if you're feeling gluttonous.
All the chefs from the old location went here, so in my opinion this is the better location! Can't go wrong with chef Alan's omakase, it's a great deal and super delicious!
One of the better sushi options in the peninsula. Made it to the grand opening and couldn't be more happier. The new restaurant was the old Kobe.
Less than half a mile from their other location, Amami has taken over what used to be Kobe Sake. Expect to park on the street as the parking situation is pretty much the same if not worse than the other location. Food quality is great as expected. Ordered the Salmon Lover and Snow White roll. Wife really loved the Snow White. I think the eel sauce could have been omitted from the Salmon Lover, but it was still good. Uni from Santa Barbara is $20, and it did not disappoint. Kind of unfortunate that they don't open for lunch because if you come when they open and it's almost time for Daylight Savings to end, the sun can really get in your eyes.
