Jack's Restaurant and Bar - San Bruno

Five stars because of excellent service, we had the best waitress... she kept her eyes on us and checked on us with perfect timing. Food was good especially the fish and chips. Wished they had name tags to identify good workers.

The server was exceptional (Mike I think)
The food was yum.
The margarita was just ok.
Accessibility info - ask to be seated at a table not a booth if you want a bit of space.

Server was welcoming, enthusiastic but low pressure, knowledgeable and willing to share his faves when asked for suggestions on which mac n cheese or dessert, attentive and accommodating.

Mac n cheese was good. I really enjoyed the hummus on the vegan appetizer plate. And the carnivores enjoyed the wings.

Jack's was a supriseingly comfortable place. The staff was attentive despite the early afternoon crowd. The patrons we're a mixed collection of young and old, families and couples, singles and groups. All seemed to be in good spirits. The well stocked bar produced excellent cocktails. I wish I had a place like this close to where I live.

Large, but popular restaurant. 30 minute wait for brunch at 10am on Sunday. Standard American fare, but nicely done and not real greasy. Nice sized portions. Very friendly service. Parking lot behind the restaurant can fill up.
