Rustic House Oyster Bar and Grill - San Carlos

Wow. I have to say this was one of the better restaurant experiences I’ve had in some time. The food was awesome. We tried a couple of the different fresh oysters and they were terrific. We also had the fish and chips, the salmon BLT, and seafood pasta. All fantastic. I have to say that the staff was out of this world good - so friendly, so helpful, and you could tell they all loved working for the restaurant. 100% recommend.

Wonderful! This place is really well-managed--the service is very attentive and super-friendly. The decorating, inside and out makes you feel comfortable and happy before you even try the garlic cheese bread they send out to each new customer!

But the food is the big draw--fabulously fresh seafood, cooked perfectly. My husband said his fish and chips were the best he'd ever had in a restaurant, and my garlic crab was the same--juicy and just right . Oysters are just out of the ocean, you can tell--and the sauces are the best. Very high quality on all the offerings, including the rolls, that we tried.

Great oysters at happy hour. Grilled artichoke awesome. Griled prawns so tasty! Good wine list too. Service was great. And it smells so good there that you just want to keep ordering more food! Great casual atmosphere. Will definitely be back again!

Reasonable seafood options in rustic style decor. Had all the appetizers: steamed clams, popcorn shrimp, calamari, grilled artichokes, cheesy bread and scallops. All we're great. Also had a few of the entrees: Rustic house pasta and the Fish n Chips. These were all equally tasty. Their aioli and tarter sauces hit the spot for dipping. Next time I want to try the Creamy Garlic Scallop Pasta!
