Competent and satisfactory, but nothing to be excited about. Our weekday lunches were fine; largely ungarnished, served by well- meaning people. We left full, but not in anyway delighted.
If someone insisted on meeting me there in the future, I might not protest, but I wouldn't select it myself.
My favorite restaurant in the mid-Peninsula at the moment. Have been here twice, was very impressed both times. Original, creative menu with fresh ingredients. Butternut squash gnocchi was excellent. Grilled cheese was out of this world. Cool ambiance too. Excited to go back, far better than anything on offer in San Carlos at the moment.
First and foremost, make reservations. It seems everyone does and there will be a wait if you walk in. We did brunch, and had made reservations.
Farm to table concept, with a nice, warm, local feel. They also have a creative menu. Loved their mocktail selection, which was great for kids - adults ordered mimosas, and were left a bit disappointed. The pours were the smallest ever!
The menu is fairly basic - ricotta pancakes were good, really fluffy and good flavor. Their signature breakfast eggs, hash, toast was good as well. The smashed potatoes were nice and crunchy. I think the simple menu may help with consistency.
Another must try if you're in the area.
Great food and amazing service. We had the quinoa salad, squash soup, and the grilled cheese with bacon. Food came out very quick. Everything was delicious and fresh. We'll definitely come back here any time we're in the area.
This is definitely my favorite restaurant in the bay. I've eaten here around 10 times and every meal has been nothing short of exceptional. The vibe is comfortable and laid back. The dishes here are as good as those served at Michelin-rated restaurants in the area. Talk about underrated. Props to the staff and owners!
