Sole Ristorante Italiano

Such a clean,delightful small ristorante with friendly service and delicious food! I devoured my rack of lamb ( shown here) with delicious potatoes broccoli and some tasty medallions of yellow squash/zucchini .The sauce was from raspberries and did not overwhelm with a fruity berry taste
It complemented the entire plate
I ordered medium rare which was perfect. The amazing lamb was Australian. Too bad American lamb is so disappointing and for me, inedible by comparison . I'll as sure to come back
The Tiramisu was truly yummy fresh and coffee was flavorful and delicious.

I love coming here! I love that I am always treated like family, and the fact that the food is amazing is just icing on the cake. I make it a priority to visit when I’m in the neighborhood!

Great small restaurant on border of San Mateo and Belmont. Delicious homemade pasta dishes, with our favorite being the ravioli, linguine with clams, and seafood dishes. We also love the mussel appetizer which comes with a generous serving of mussels in a delicious red tomato sauce and bread. Waitresses, especially Karen, are very friendly and recommend great choices. Sometimes the chef comes out and greets the customers too. It’s a small restaurant so having a reservation, especially during peak hours, is helpful. There’s also about 10 small tables outside with heat lamps nearby. It seems best for small parties of 4 or less, but there is an option to combine tables for 1 large group of up to ~10 people. Parking (free) is easy on the street.

Cute, great service and the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. It was busy when we went so we were seated outside and with the heaters on, it was warm and quiet. Very cute date spot.
