We stumbled upon Nini's because we couldn't find parking at our first choice. What a happy accident! The breakfast was superb! I am sure every local eats here every chance they get. Service was wonderful. This is a classic, local cafe serving a "salt of the earth menu" and it is apparent they have been doing the same for decades. I will plan breakfast around Nini's every time I visit this area.
This is such a cute place! I definitely want to come back during the warmer season and sit outside as their outdoor seating looked amazing with all the plants. It's a diner themed with a bunch of vintage style photographs and art hanging on the walls. I definitely feel like I've gone back in time or hanging out at a movie set. The place can get crowded during weekend breakfast so I recommend coming in early to snag a seat as the restaurant itself isn't super large. If you have a large party I recommend sitting outside. I got their blueberry pancake (super good)! Parking is tough since it's street parking and the restaurant seems to be located in a middle of a residential area. Overall if you're around the San Mateo area I recommend coming here!
Been coming here my entire life. It's still one of the top breakfast gems in the area... if you want an amazing breakfast or lunch seriously come here. It may look a little unassuming from the outside but believe me when I tell you it's the place to go, it's the place to go!
The staff is awesome and always remember us when we come in... i love this place :)
The best breakfast on the peninsula. Usually about an hour wait on weekends but always worth it. The back patio is a great spot for bigger groups of 4-6 as well.
Great place for breakfast. The food is good, the portions are generous the service is good. I’ve had the Benedict’s and the omelettes here and they are both really good. The home fries are better than the hash browns (I’m a hash brown lover). There is a line at breakfast time regardless of the day so plan ahead by being early of really late.
