Lovely authentic Mexican food, big servings and friendly staff

My favorite taco joint in San Mateo! The guys running the flat top know what they are doing and never disappoint. They serve a steady stream of customers all day, ensuring that the ingredients are fresh and the food flys off the grill. Seating area is small, but who cares? You don't go for the ambiance, you go for the tacos! And, if you have a bestially hunger that needs to be tamed, order the prawn quesadilla; it is stuffed with deliciousness. *Last word*, their tomatillo salsa is beyond compare, you will regret not trying it. Oh man, I made myself hungry just thinking about it ...

A traditional CA taqueria located just a few blocks from SF Bay, the Bay Trail and a couple of parks. Suggest getting your food to go and having a picnic near the Bay or at the park.
Liquor not sold here but there is a variety of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Quantities are large, employees are courteous and provide good service. We had the wet burrito and a taco platter. Both were good and on par with other small taqueria establishments.

Exceptional food, quality, service and value. Truly the best taqueria in the peninsula or maybe even the bay.

Our go-to place for authentic tacos. It's a hole-in-the-wall sort of place but who cares when the food is delicious! They have a small salsa station, which is nice. Prices are cheap for great tacos. Easy to find street parking. We always leave happy from this place!
