Carp Kitchen & Grocery

I own a Jewish style bakery in Los Angeles and frequently travel to Santa Barbara. I stop in Carpinteria every time ever since I found Carp Kitchen. I went to visit the business that occupied that space before only to find it was now Carp Kitchen, much to my surprise, it was better than what I had gone for. I tried the pastrami, a risky choice, and was shocked how good it was. It is made right there on premises, the best on the central coast. Everything is high quality, reliably delicious and elegantly presented. I hear Debra caters, that is a good thing to know when you need to impress your guests. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Cannot say enough amazing things about this place! We have ordered countless lunches from them and recently had them cater an event for 150 people for a welcome beach reception prior to our wedding! The sandwiches, salads, drinks and brown butter cookies were to die for. Guests have even asked to see if they ship the cookies (which they do).

Deb was a pure pleasure to work with for our event - going above and beyond thoroughly. Would highly recommend for catering, to grab a to go order, grab bag for picnic of gift basket or lunch on site!

Excellent sandwiches. The California Philly is comfort food and the The New Yorker is da bomb. Great bread and condiments on the sandwiches too. The products used in the sandwiches are definitely worth the price. Don’t miss this yummy eatery. Outside shaded seating in the back. Enjoy!!!

Must try! Sandwiches are wonderful. The steak and chicken lunch sandwiches are amazing. Get the side of potato and spicy mustard salad. Owner is experienced and friendly. There’s outside seating and plenty of high quality Italian grocery items for the kitchen. Will come back!
