“LOCATED BEHIND BUILDING. It took a minute to find it but I love the mystery of it. 🤪 The owner is so kind and he made the experience that much better. These empanadas are incredible! They are packed! It’s a fun menu with many options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. You can sit at the two restaurants beside his back kitchen door. Dog friendly area. I recommend #10 HIGO for all my vegetarian people- you get two smaller ones and they are a little sweet because of the fig but savory because of the walnuts. 🤤 you can park out front and walk behind or go between buildings and find parking spots.”

“The best candy store. There is something special about Robitaille’s that makes it my favorite, not sure what it is (maybe the rainbow laces and inaugural mints) but I love it and highly recommend giving them a visit!”

“Love everything about this place…the food is amazing, fresh and healthy! Service is quick and super friendly! And the vibe is relaxed…you feel as though you’re sitting in your favorite coffeehouse as you take in the books and listen to great music. Local Carpinteria gem for sure!”

“The Creme du La Creme of Carpinteria May I introduce Brass Bird, the newest hidden treasure in town. The paper-wrapped paninis transport you to Europe as you walk through the door. The breakfast burritos keep you coming back for more. Warm smiles from staff effectively showcase the decadent specials of the day. Friendly soft-spoken banter fills the air in refreshing contrast to the mainstream alternatives. Guests gather around a cozy fire pit on this chilly morning sipping vanilla lattes presented with heart-shaped cream. Merchandise is beautifully shelved adjacent to the drink reception area. Brass Bird shines to bring its unique flight at just the right moment.”

“Stopped here on the way back from SB...This place is a local hidden gem off Santa Claus lane that's been serving up breakfast, lunch and bakery items for years. It's still just as delicious as I recall. Order at the counter and be served on a delightful flowering back patio. I had the albacore tuna salad on poppyseed bread and companion had 1/2 BLT and caesar salad combo. It was a bit pricey but everywhere post covid is so that's just the new reality. The food was fresh tasty and portion sizes are generous. Next time you're on the 101 outside Carp visit this beachy laid back village strip where the Garden Market is located.”

“Best Thai food we've had in a very long time, One of the best meals we've had in Carpinteria. Portions are larger and we over ordered so be warned. The fresh spring rolls we not like fresh Vietnamese spring roll. They're mostly greens and a bit of protein, they were excellent, like a hand salad. Everything we ordered was exceptional!”

“ICE CREAM WINDOW ONLY: I’m a lover of all ice cream, so when Fosters was no-more, I was excited about the ice cream window! Now that it’s my third time, I have to say I’m sad. The Tart Yogurt is not good, and doesn’t have that ice cream treat vibe people are looking for. When they first opened I thought “no worries! They’ll add more and make it better,” but that hasn’t happened yet. Good Plow, pretty please offer good ice cream at the ice cream window! It’s nothing like the fosters, and I know people are looking for that experience. Thanks for considering!!”

“Just had the most amazing dinner from Invisible Chef by Events by Rincon! Sugared Bacon appetizers, Pulled Pork Sliders with apple cole slaw, roasted potatoes and vegetables, corn and bean salad with homemade ranch dressing, and bourbon cowboy lemonade, brownies and carrot cake for dessert! I am in gastronomical heaven right now! Even the kids loved it!! And we got to go for a nice car ride along the cost! The food was absolutely incredible, everything was so fresh and I didnt realize I liked bourbon!! Can't wait to order again!”

“I was at the same function as Sean Welty and my experience was so different that I feel compelled to write this review. The waiters were all friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. All the staff wore masks. The tables were appropriately spaced in a beautiful setting. The app takes a little getting used to since I am not experienced but we did not have to wait long for our food. Even if we did, in such a beautiful setting there is no need to hurry. Just relax and enjoy your drink. The food was excellent. I will definitely go back.”

“Nice simple burger place next to the beach. But you cant see the beach or ocean. Open seating at picnic tables on grassy lawn. Food was good. Chili nachos were great...couldn't tell they were vegetarian. Strawberry Margarita was okay.”

“I don't think I have ever been been so welcomed and taken care of in a restaurant ever, like I was at Clementine's. The staff were so incredibly warm and kind the moment we walked in. The decor is kinda kitschy, country styled, intimate, all at the same time. The meal started with a bowl of clam chowder and a salad with homemade dressing. The fried chicken was made fresh to order and was so tender, while the outside was well seasoned and crispy. The prime rib was juicy and cooked perfectly. The chef bakes fresh everyday a plethora of pies that you have the tough job of choosing one to finish off your meal. My husband chose the cherry pie that had the perfect ratio of tart and sweet. I had the walnut chocolate brownie pie that was simply to die for. Go for the food, but expect to be treated like family.”

“This is a nice fast food place. Odd note on Carpinteria, there are no drive-ins allowed. So if you're looking for a nice place to sit down and eat at, this is a great place for that, if you want to grab something quick that's easy to get to from the highway, you'll need to wait till you're in the next town. Also, it's kind of tricky to get to. You can't see it from the road and one of the driveways to it is on the highway on ramp. The town doesn't let them put up signs either, but it's there, you just have to look for it the first time you visit.”

“Such an amazing little "spot". Been here about a half dozen times and it never disappoints. Delicious burgers, fries, super chocolatey shakes and the BEST onion rings. Can't say enough about this historic Carpenteria food landmark. It is cash only so make sure you bring some.”
