Bibi Ji

Food was amazing, I had the butter chicken with garlic naan and a mango lassee for dessert. The curry and chicken were cooked to perfection with the appropriate amount of heat (spicy). Service was also excellent. My only reason for deducting a star was the bizarre way I had to get a beer. Unlike their laundry list of wines, the beer selection is relegated to a refrigerator in the corner of the restaurant, and you have to (rather awkwardly) walk past other customers and make a selection with no prices listed, then bring your drink back to your table. I expect a better experience from a restaurant included in the Michelin Guide.

This was the best Indian food I’ve had, hands down. Ever. Butter Chicken? Superb. Coconut rice? Complex, delightful. Market Salad-unique, perfectly seasoned. Our server Kai was spot on with the recommendations. We’ll be returning!

First Indian food in Santa Barbara so can’t comment on the relative ranking yet. Service was above average and food was solid. I was told not to miss the cauliflower and butter chicken and both did not disappoint. Garlic naan was average as it could have used some more ghee and garlic. Wine selection was impressive if you are looking for a large selection of central coast organic wines.

Delicious, delightful food! We ordered like 8 dishes and every one was amazing! Waitress was super nice too! Definitely will come back next time we're in Santa Barbara!
