This place is known for its fish tacos which are really good. Just about everything else if pretty good as well (seared ahi, chicken tacos, salads, and the calamari is cut thick with a good home-style cocktail sauce). There are a lot of relatively healthy options on the menu. The staff are friendly & helpful. The food is usually served pretty quickly as well. The ambiance is very casual with cheesy Hawaiian themed decorations and TVs showing surfing videos on loop. The portions are a little small for the price but not too bad. I like to go here to get a fast, healthy, good-tasting meal when I don't feel like cooking at home.
Food is good - I got the poke bowl with the spicy sauce. There is a children's menu with more than one option of food choices. They have beers on tap and POG Mimosas on Sundays.
Ambiance is amazing - the tables and chairs are surfboards. The place feels like you are in Hawaii, not just with the food, but with the decor and music. The servers are very friendly.
I cannot speak for the whole menu, but I found my calamari and fries to be delicious. The calamari was a generous steak that was cut into strips, breaded and fried. It came with a small cup of ginger-flavored cole slaw, cocktail sauce and thin, crispy, salty fries. Friends had the taco salad (no tortilla chips or "taco bowl"), fish sandwiches on buns, poke bowls and fish chowder. They all seemed pleased with their food. The tables made from long, narrow, wooden surf boards make it hard for groups of people to carry on a conversation. The noise level is high and the music adds to the volume. The service was very good. You order at the register and food is delivered to your table and dishes are cleared. Take out customers are encouraged to move to the front of the line by a sign overhead by the menu board. We will go there again and we might do take out. Prices seemed reasonable, but good fish is not inexpensive. We easily finished lunch in under an hour.
Food was good. I had the Ono sandwich and fries. The fish was well cooked with coleslaw that was surprisingly delicious. The clam chowder was heavy but in all the right ways. At first I thought tomatoes would not work with clam chowder but instead it worked quite nicely
The sea food we had was fresh and seasoned well. Food was pretty good and good balance of spice. Service was fast. My only concern was the portion size was small, but the price was regular. I wasn't happy with the value for money.
