The lamb with pickle in the clay pot tastes good. It comes with a sauce for the lamb. The sauce adds flavor to the lamb and remove the special smell of lamb. The Wanxingju pork bun is juicy, soft and very hot. It takes 20minutes for the order to come, but it is worth the wait. The dessert donkey roll is good, however little more red bean paste won't hurt! If you don't like it too sweet, it's perfect then. If you like to have to roasted duck, you would have to preorder it.
The owners are very nice. She told us that we can order the lunch set even during weekend. No complimentary small dishes though. That way we can sample more dishes.
We really like this place and would come back and try other dishes!
Peking (Beijing) duck is their specialty. They bring it to table and cut it right in front of you. It's perfectly crispy and tender. They also make a delicious soup with the leftover bones. We also liked the Ja Ja noodles and the green beans with eggplant.
This is our GO TO restaurant when we crave Peking Duck. The owner/chef is always present and his poster can be seen from the parking lot. CALL AHEAD TO RESERVE YOUR DUCK or you will sadly get none. The pancakes are thin and fresh...no wonder advance notice is needed! There are many celebratory dishes on the menu.
But the true star is the Peking Duck carved table-side. It cannot get better than this...
