Ippudo

Picked up to go, no wait, food (ramen, fried chicken, pork buns) were sophisticated (quality ingredients) and very delicious. The staff were very positive and took all careful precautions for shelter-in-place. You can call in an order or order at the door front.

Another hot new Ramen spot that just recently opened sometime in Feb. 2020. I'm not too sure about the history, but I believe Ippudo originated in Japan; did well, is fairly well known and now has locations around the world. This particular Ippudo was suppose to open a while ago, not too sure what took so long.

The layout is interesting. The bar or counter style seating is in the middle of the restaurant surrounded by tables and booths. Ippudo had a decent amount of seats, is one of the larger Ramen restaurants in the area and looks like they don't have issues accommodating large groups. The staff is friendly, helpful and unintrusive.

On to the Ramen life:
~ Mentai Rice - 4/5
Tasty small side rice dish with Roe and Mayo on rice. It's a small rice bowl, more like an appetizer, definitely wouldn't consider it meal.

~ Karaka Spicy Ramen - 4/5
The "added Kick" looks a bit intimidating at first glance... I reckon Orange Red from Ippudo's special blend of hot spices usually an indication of very spicy. However this one is not too spicy and the flavor is great. Make sure to mix everything up...it tastes a lot better that way. The pork is very tender and melts in your mouth.

Now I just need to return and try the rest of the Ramen on the menu. Ramen in life!

My only issue here: I absolutely didn't like the check out system here. Ippudo has some sort of funky high tech card reader that texts or emails you the receipt. You need to ask for a physical print out of the receipt.

Ramen is very tasty. Chicken wing are very uniquely cooked and very good. You have to choose different softness of the noodles for you ramen.
Of course there's long line to get in. But it is worth it.

I was a little nervous going there because I had heard so many good things about the restaurant, so I had pretty high expectation. But, boy! Was I satisfied!! Their broth was so flavorful and tasty! Their Ajitama was perfect! Though the staff completely forgot my additional toppings, it didn't bother me. ????

We arrived half hour before opening, still wait for almost another hour to get a sit. they do not allow any outside drink. boiled dumplings are stunning, but their soup base for ramen is so salty. It's worth to try if the waiting time is less than half hour.
