First time here. Read several reviews and thought we would try it. Wow... some of the reviews are flat out opposite of our experience and we are a bit picky. The sliders are actually small hamburgers, flavorful and cooked medium rare perfect as ordered. The carnitas tacos could have used a bit more salt but were really good. The green sauce is the best we've ever had. The sous chef came out and asked if we were satisfied. They have 16 beers on tap, wine and drinks. The music was there but not loud like many places. Jacob bartender/server was awesome. If Gilroy doesn't patronize this place more, we will lose a good place to eat and have a drink.

While I miss stubby's this place is great! Awesome beer & spirits selection. Really good food! I recommend the avocado toast, the flat bread & definitely the fried chicken sandwich. & I almost forgot, but the poke bowl is wonderful. Also the owner has good taste in music.

Dropped in after car shopping for a quick bite during lunch hours. Place wasn’t very busy. Maybe two other patrons at the time. We were greeted quickly, given napkins, silverware, menus, and water within the first two minutes of arriving. The waitstaff were patient and friendly. Everything appeared clean and ready for business. They have two non-gender, single person restrooms available. Both were spacious and clean. There is a patio area available should you choose to enjoy the Gilroy sunshine.

The menus have a lot of choices available. You can check out their food offerings online at their website. Their drink menus are also vast in offerings. They have a mixed cocktail menu as well as a tap list that includes draft and can options.

I’ve railed on this during other reviews and this probably won’t be the last time I do so; but since the pandemic, food prices have increased while portion size has decreased. It’s my only complaint about Alehouse and Bistro and to be fair, it’s my complaint about damn near anywhere lately. With the economy being as tough as it is right now, coupled with the ridiculous gas prices, there really isn’t much money left in people’s wallets for disposable income, meaning less and less people are opting to go out for meals and drinks, or at the very least, less often. Otherwise, our visit was nice. The food was good, but for the price and serving size, there’s no way it could’ve been worth it. For those curious, we ordered Wagyu Sliders (2 for $18) and Guac and chips ($8 for a small portion of guac and a si gel serving of chips).

I enjoyed an evening with old friends here recently. And I can't think of a single negative aspect to my experience. Atmosphere is warm but non-intrusive. Staff was friendly and took care of us very well. Our server recommended a cocktail that did not disappoint. The menu has a slight fusion of asian that made it not difficult to find something familiar but also interesting enough that I wasn't just getting "a burger" for example. My pick was a bulgogi cheesesteak and damn was it flavorful! There was spiciness but not too much heat to burn me. (And I usually shy from spicy foods.) It only accentuated the present flavors. My sandwich came with crispy, hot and fresh seasoned shoestring fries that were perfect for sharing between friends and between laughs. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Music was to loud and the guy at the bar could not stop running his mouth over the music. Not exactly a great atmosphere for dinner, maybe if I was 20 and drunk. My wife ordered Chile rellenos but received bell peppers I guess were not suppose to know the difference.
