The SpaceBar

We love The SpaceBar and have been eating here for 2 years. It has indoor and outdoor seating, an alcohol bar and Peet's coffee bar. You can order smoothies also. On the food side are amazing burgers (made fresh to order), huge salads, old Bay fries, onion rings...you get the idea ;) There are daily specials, soda fountain, video games, streaming news, cold brew, good company... It's just all around great ;) Parking is plenty and free. It is on Moffet Airfield so have a government ID ready.

Great food. Good beer. Well thought-out mixed drinks. Diner atmosphere. Friendly staff. It’s a gem of down to earth reality in this particular valley.

The sandwiches are HUGE. Well worth the money - but get there early as the bread is baked fresh daily they do run out of options. The burgers are tasty with loads of toppings for additional $ and theres a daily special each day of the week. The best feature is the 8 beer taps they have in constant rotation. Very rare you'll find the same beer twice so try to get your fill why you can. Burgers and beer classic american awesomeness.

I love the burgers there. Customizable, tasty and affordable. (Sadly, they only serve lunch, no breakfast).

Friendly staff with a decent comfort food menu, and nicely stocked bar of liquors and beers on tap. NASA TV was playing, but other then that not much of a space theme that was expected. They do have souvenir shot glasses for sale to show you visited the research center.
