This place has been renovated. The environment is very bright and comfortable.
The food is delicious, some chief special are innovative.
Strawberry and fry fish is very creative and delicious.
We have great dining experience in here.
Now that it is reopened, we have visited on both weekdays and weekends. Weekdays, while a handful of carts come around, most of your food needs to be ordered. Still good!
Weekends get crowded fast now that the dining room seats a lot fewer guests than it used to and no upstairs seating exists, so arrive early. Weekend Dim sum is much better than weekday, and also better than before they closed for remodel.
Maybe bustling and crowded, but always delicious. It was recently remodeled so decor is very nicely and modern. It may change by how busy it is, but came on a Sunday and they were doing DimSum carts. Good choices and they came by fairly often. Highly recommended.
Fu Lam Mum has been closed for remodeling for ages and they’ve finally opened. The new decor is nice and they’ve added some room dividers so the place doesn’t feel so huge.
The a few dim sum carts still patrol the floor but you order most of your food by marking the paper on your table. Don’t know if it’s actually true but it feels like your food is prepared to order instead of sitting around waiting to get selected. Another plus is that you have an expanded selection of dim sum you can select. You’re not limited to what they predicted people would want and toss that on the cart.
The food itself was decent, and may have improved some from before the closing. Be aware that it is a bit pricey. Also, don’t forget to unfold the paper on you table as you order. There are actually two columns of food.
Love the food here. Great Chinese restaurant for both locals and tourists. The downstairs part is usually tables of tour bus riders who come to San Francisco for a good meal, and Hunan Homes is the place to be. Service is great and so is the food. Located in the famous Mountain , it's a good restaurant within walking distance of food shopping and little shops with candies and other goodies. Go if you have the chance.
