Ok food, very cramped seating, and a bit expensive. Beer is pretty good here though!
Got the combo appetizer, cheese platter and wurst platter. Food was decent, but definitely not worth the price or portion size. In particular you only get 3 sausages for $23, which is kind of insane even if they're special German sausages.
Decent selection of beer, Ludwig's had a bit more variety. Nevertheless, the beer was still great.
All in all though, I enjoyed my time here. It was fun sharing the platters with friends!
Good selection of German beers. They seem to have at least 2 choices of wheat beers, which, surprisingly, seems to be a little hard to find nowadays. The happy hour prices are nice - $5 for a pint. Food is predominantly German and they do have some nice looking baked stuff from the bakery. Service is fairly quick. Outdoor seating is nice. They have a few indoor tables too. Nice place to grab a couple of beers after work.
Nice location, friendly staff.
The dishes were good.
But this has nothing to do with a german beergarden.
Great beer garden, huge selection of delicious looking desserts, wide range beer menu and a fun and lively environment. This is my new favorite restaurant. Food portion was HUGE too. My only complaint, generally weinerschnitzle is pounded very thin and theirs is rather thick. But very, very good! I ordered the jagerschnitzle and the gravy was bomb. So were the fresh, thick cut mushrooms. Highly recommend!!!
Wurst platter, three different sausages with sour kraut, grilled onions and two kind of mustard (1 sweet, the other hot). Also order pretzel with sweet mustard and Olympus mint tea. Love the sausages and the mint tea are my favorites.
