Paesano

Presano is a cute little Italian bistro right on the corner of the new section of Little Italy in San Jose. This entire area exists primarily in the shadow of the SAP center. Although typical Italian, many of the dishes have a creative twist (e.g. pasta with crab and vodka tomato sauce .) A short but extremely high-quality and well-priced wine list is available. Service was very good. Tip: get a reservation before major events.

Juicy and tender lamb chops prepare with Italian herbs was fantastic. Dessert is also great, I'd go back again specially because of the friendly crew

This is a hidden gem in the older part of the San Jose downtown neighborhood. Ambience is upscale and service is good. The food is much better than many chained restaurants at the same price range.
Parking was a problem when we got there. But we found there actually were signs leading us to a Paesano parking just across the narrow street. Not sure if it is a dedicated parking lot or just open for restaurant guests in the evenings.

I really like this restaurant. It's small and cozy but always busy. Excellent service. The tables are packed but the wait times are short. All the food is good. Wide wine selection.

Great atmosphere, service and garden seating. Lamb, sirloin, and lasagna were delicious. Appetizer carpaccio was perfect with greens. My daughter loved the chocolate mousse. Glad we finally hit up this local place. There's something about the Italian hospitality. The manager was friendly on the phone and in person when greeting you at the door.
Came back on Friday night again and different table in the back garden too. Another awesome experience! The pork tender special was delicious and the sauce was excellent!
