Burger Pit

Good burgers at a good price. We come here about once a month. They are always very friendly to my family and I. The interior could use some updating, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

One of the old classic style restaurants that has been around for a long time. Good service and portions, well made food. Not cheap, but not too pricey either.

Food is good. Price is good. I gave four stars for the wait. They've had the same order procedure for years. They need to adapt to the time and more people.

This old burger diner is by far the best! It's set up like a coffee shop with booths like we used to have back in the day. It's got better burgers and higher-quality food and some of these fast food joints that are of big chain restaurants. And because it's NOT fast food you feel like you can sit there a while and just relax. You order at the window and they bring it to your table. Great service, great food and nostalgia everywhere around you. Burger Pit was a place I used to go with my mom when I was a little kid (on her hairdresser days) back 50yrs ago & it hasn't lost its beat yet! The place has been around for 65 years, and this is the LAST of the locations!! Great fresh salad bar, beer and wine available, reasonable prices and good people make this place a definite go to! I think more young people need to find out about this because those of us over 40 already know about this from when we grew up. One of my favorite items on the menu is a dish called Chili-Size which basically is a cheeseburger in a bowl of chili, that you eat with a spoon and you get burger and chili together in one bite! No bun included. Their steak sandwiches are wonderful and today I had a Seafood Platter with a baked potato, salad from a great salad bar, and garlic bread. Couldn't finish it also part of its coming home for dinner tonight. Check this place out and share it with others because it's the last of its kind.

Burgers are absolutely in top 5 in the Bay area. The price is totally reasonable. They serve beers as well. The salad bar is awesome. Totally recommends this place.
