IHOP

Very good IHOP, nice service, food came out just as expected. I got a tropical lemonade that was too sweet. Otherwise great. ????

Went in today(late afternoon) place was empty. Wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not but it was. Great service. Food came out pretty quick. I had an omelette. Our waiter was Juan I believe. He was very good. I'd go back again, for sure.

I grew up in San Jose but it was a small town then. I left in 91 and moved to the Santa Cruz area, so I am not used to all the people and the traffic. IHOP is in what is pretty much a restaurant Mall in southeast San Jose. Because of all the people in the traffic the crowd vibe was over the top. We had to wait 40 minutes to get seated and because the wait staff was overburdened and they had no front counter, it took 20 minutes to get out when we were done. After we ordered they brought our drinks and our food all at the same time, it made me feel rushed and was certainly inappropriate. I wanted my coffee first of course. On the plus side the waitress had a great attitude and was even sweet, but clearly harried and overburdened. The omelette was one of the best I had had in a long time, it was the poblano pepper omelette I believe. Even so, I wouldn't go back. I felt like I was in a factory.

This is a new IHOP located in the plant. It is a better location than the one downtown. This one has plenty of parking and seating. They also have tables outside. The service was awesome and the food was delicious. ????????????
